Dear Researchers, Members of the Academic Staff, and PhD Students,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 8th edition of the International Conference on Automotive and Modern Engineering - ICOME 2026 and the 4th edition of the International Conference on Advanced Research in Engineering - CARE 2026. These events are organized by the Faculty of Mechanics and the Doctoral School “Acad. Radu Voinea” of the Faculty of Mechanics at the University of Craiova, and will take place from October 21st to 23rd, 2026.
The main objective of ICOME & CARE 2026 is to promote excellence in research, establish partnerships, and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise to address new trends and challenges in doctoral engineering research. Our goal is to provide a premier platform for researchers to present their work, engage with peers, and receive constructive feedback from the scientific community.
Following a rigorous peer-review process (at least two experts per paper), the best contributions will be selected by the Scientific Committee for publication in indexed journals, such as:
Beyond the academic sessions, a variety of social programs will be organized for our delegates.

Author Guidelines & Submission Process
To ensure a structured and efficient experience, the submission and publication process follows these four steps:
Authors are required to first submit a structured abstract for evaluation by the Scientific Committee. Submissions must include:
- ✅ Title of the paper
- ✅ Author(s) and academic/professional affiliation
- ✅ Abstract (maximum 100 words)
- ✅ 3–5 relevant keywords
Accepted abstracts will be assigned to one of the conference topic areas. Upon notification of acceptance, authors should begin preparing their oral presentations.

During the conference, authors will present their research and paper ideas. A panel of reviewers and Scientific Committee members will offer feedback, comments, and recommendations to assist authors in refining their work.
Following the conference, authors will refine and expand their papers based on the feedback received. Authors may then submit their final manuscripts for consideration in the dedicated publication tracks and journal special issues.
The official language of the conference is English. Each paper will be reviewed, and the papers selected by the Scientific Committee will be published in the conference proceeding.
The best papers will be selected and recommended for publication in journals indexed in international databases. The length of the papers must be: 6, 8 or 10 pages. All submitted papers must be strictly prepared following the publication guidelines contained in the Template.

Fees & Payment Information
The fees cover only the participation expenses. Publication fees depend on the journal.
