Biocomposites. Main research interests are related to advanced
materials processing by powder metallurgy technology, with industrial
applications (self-lubricating and/or high friction parts) as well as

— PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, Domain: Magnetic
Materials. Competences: Powder Metallurgy, Nanopowder/Nanostructured
powder particles, Mechanical Alloying, Advanced Sintering Techniques
(Carburising-Sintering, Spark Plasma Sintering, Two Steps Sintering,
Microwave Sintering), Ferrous Materials, Permanent Ceramic Magnets.
Main research interests are related to advanced materials processing by
powder metallurgy technology, especially on magnetic materials. Also,
new functionalities of PM steels by Carburising-Sintering technique, in
one/two steps processing, in gas/solid atmosphere are the latest
research interests. Member/coordinator/expert evaluator of European
(COST, FP7 and FP6) and national research grants (CEEX, CNCSIS). Member

Ion —
PhD in Engineering Sciences. Competences: Powder Metallurgy, Ferrous
Materials, Devices for Engineering Tools. Main research interests are
related to advanced materials processing by powder metallurgy
technology, especially on sintered steels. Also, wear behaviour of
different sintered materials is one of the main research interests.

Benga
— PhD in Industrial Engineering, Competences: Manufacturing
Engineering, Micromachining, Optimization of Machining Processes.
Research interests are directed towards the machining of difficult-to-
cut materials, machining optimization of high temperature resistant
alloys, evaluation of the coating feasibility in different machining
operations, processing and micromachining of hydroxyapatite based nano

Deformation Technologies, Tribology. Presently, the main research
interests are related to advanced materials processed by micro
injection moulding of metallic, ceramic and composite powders and
powder metallurgy technology, with different area applications
(automotive industry, biomedical engineering). Also, new techniques for
developing metallic and biocomposite foams are the latest interests.
