Student contest Dynamic of vehicles - „Prof. univ. ing. Constantin Ghiulai”, national phase first edition

Meanwhile the SMAT 2014 Congress (between 23rd and 24th of October 2014) it was organized the first edition of Student’s contest – Dynamic of vehicles „Prof. univ. ing. Constantin Ghiulai”, national phase. At the contest where 28 students from the following universities:

• University of Craiova (5)
• Technical University from Cluj-Napoca (5)
• Politehnical University fromTimisoara (5)
• University of Pitesti (5)
• UniversitatyTransilvania from Brasov (4)
• University of Oradea (3)
• Politehnical University from Bucuresti (1)

The contest was supervised by a scientific committee with the following structure:

• prof. dr. ing. Ion Tabacu (University of Pitesti, president of national committee for contest coordination)
• prof. dr. ing. Victor Otat (University of Craiova, president of technical committee)
• prof. dr. ing. Ion Preda (University Transilvania from Brasov)
• prof. dr. ing. Dinu-Mircea Fodor (Universitaty of Oradea)
• prof. dr. ing. Tiberiu Macarie (University of Pitesti)
• conf. dr. ing. Liviu Mihon (Politehnical Universitaty from Timisoara)
• conf. dr. ing. Adrian Todorut (Tehnical University of Cluj-Napoca)
• s.l. dr. ing. Loreta Simniceanu (University of Craiova)

The committee has declared the following winners:

• First prize - Radu Daniel Muresan - Tehnical University of Cluj-Napoca
• Second prize - Bogdan Dragos - Tehnical University of Cluj-Napoca
• Third prize - Andrei Borboreanu – Politechnical University of Timisoara

With the support of the AVL company, SIAR has granted the students with a supplement prize in money as follows: First prize 700 lei, Second prize 500 lei and Third prize 300 lei.

The student Radu Daniel Muresan, situated on the first place, has received a special prize from CADWorks company, a Garmin NUVI 54 LM navigation system , (5 “ diagonal, Full Europe + free update). The team prizes were distributed as follows:

• First prize – team from Technical University of Cluj_Napoca
• Second prize - team from Politehnical University from Timisoara
• Third prize - team from University of Pitesti
