Aims and objectives and results:
This project is found in Priority Axis 1 - A
well - connected region (under which the CBC project
is carried out 15.1.1.010), which has two main
specific objectives, also specified in the award
documentation for the procurement of services for a
study entitled " Preliminary study on the current
status of intermodal nodes and their capacity to
develop the TEN-T network in the Romanian part of
the Romania-Bulgaria cross-border area ”.
Taking into account the above and the entire
strategic financing framework but also the
operational objectives of the complex Intermodal CBC
project, in this proposal, submitted by the
University of Craiova, the following strategic
objectives will be pursued:
•
Significantly improve the planning, development and
coordination of cross-border transport systems in
order to better connections with the TEN-T network
in the CBC area;
•
Planning and adoption of strategic documents for the
optimization of the transport system through
optimized intermodal transport connections in the
cross-border region.
Starting from these two objectives, the
results envisaged by the completion of this
procurement contract will be the following:
•
A summary of economic and social activities and
investments in the cross-border region in the
eligible area and the development potential of these
areas;
•
The situation of transport infrastructures (including
for intermodal transport, and public transport for
the purpose of serving major terminals in eligible
areas) and their level of performance;
•
Modelling and simulation of major road traffic flows
using specialized software packages, in order to
identify sections and problem areas. In the same
type will be identified solutions for decongestion,
alternative routing, intermodal transport and
solutions for connections to the TEN-T network;
•
Summary of the transport legislative framework and
existing strategic documents that are closely
related to this contract. |
