Erasmus Grants for Students

The ERASMUS grants for students are approved after a selection contest.

General frame:

General frame of Erasmus activities is settled by Proceedures for international cooperation.

Eligibility criteria:

  • all the exams passed;
  • romanian citizenship;
  • minimum average mark 7,00 (seven);
  • are accepted students from bachelor, masterate and doctorate levels;
  • are not accepted students from the last year if the mobility it will be in the second semester;

Financial Support

Erasmus grants give to the students a financial support which covers roughly the expenses for transportation and accomodation, all the other expenses must to be supported by the student. The exact amount of the grant is established after receiving the Erasmus funds at the University of Craiova, according with the previous demands from faculties.

Type of grants

  • Study grants

    • For one semester the student must to follow the modules written in the "Learning Agreement" previously signed between the Erasmus partners. The student must to pass the examinations at the abroad partner, and take at least 30 credit points.

  • Placement grants

    • This grants lasts usually for 3 months, and the student must to finish a project under the suppervision of the teachers from the abroad Erasmus partner as it was settled int the "Training Agreement". The student must sustain and pass the project presentation at the Erasmus host.

Student's mobility schedule

  • first week of second semester: personal files deposition
  • second week of second semester: contest organization
  • third week of second semester: repartization of student at the abroad partners
  • month of April: filling the documents and sending to the partners;
  • month of May: checking the acceptance at the Erasmus parteners;
  • month of June: closing the documents, siging the in\dividusl contracts;
  • month of September / February: starting the activity at the abroad partners.

Selection Contest

Necessary papers:
  • curriculum vitae in english or other Erasmus accepted language;
  • motivational letter in english or other Erasmus accepted language;
  • written declaration confirming he didn't take advantage of a similar Erasmus grant at other univeristy from Romania or EU;
  • ordered list of the preferences, corresponding with the institutional agreement avaliable in the next academic year;
